![]() ![]() Which is why all of my interests coalesced into my final term paper for my degree when I wrote about Reagan's relationship with the religious right and how/why the Republican Party is so associated with religion now. All religions, not just the one I grew up in. I have a history degree and my primary interests in history were the British Empire at its height in the 19th century, the US at its height during the 20th century, I love studying awful awful people, just the worst human beings, and I love studying religion. It radicalized me as a socialist and anti-anti-SJW. ![]() Of course, 2016 put the lie to that, as all the anti-SJWs supported Trump, and the election of Trump made me more political than I've ever been in my life. I drifted towards the anti-SJW side of the internet back in 2013/2014, but I always told myself that I could be a left leaning anti-SJW and reform my side. ![]() I grew up in a fundamentalist conservative household in the South of the US but, after becoming an atheist and discovering I was gay, that conservatism and religion quickly fell apart in high school. So let me introduce myself before I get started so you can kind of have an idea of who I am and what my background is so you can kind of get a sense of what I like and dislike in the media I consume and what I'll focus on when I talk about these stories. That would be helpful, it'd probably get really annoying having to tag everything as spoilers throughout the whole post. Before I begin, can I just put a blanket "spoilers" in the title so that everyone knows that the post will contain spoilers for that specific book? Like I did above. Small Gods was my first about two or three months ago. I'm going to try to remember them, but it's been a little while, so I don't know if I'll get everything I want to talk about in. ![]() I've already read six of these books so I'm going to be doing a post for each of them first in the order that I read them. As I read them, I'm going to be doing a post for each book to kind of talk about my thoughts and some of the things I enjoyed most. Hello everyone! This is my first of many posts about these books. ![]()
